A Breath Of Fresh Air: How IAQ Can Help Keep You Safe

Diagram showing an air purifier system that uses solar energy to disinfect and deodorize indoor air, turning dirty air in to clean air out, without chemicals or sprays.

Many Canadian are now spending more time indoors due to the Covid-19 virus, and with allergy season soon approaching, it may be a good time to think about Indoor air quality and air filtration through heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. With today’s enclosed and tight building construction, the air inside your home is considered “stale” in that it is constantly re-circulated. This is great for energy savings as minimal heat is lost through gaps in walls, windows and doors. However, this also means airborne particles, bacteria and off-gasses from household materials and cleaners are also trapped and circulated through your home by the furnace and air conditioner.

Air Filtration

Filtration systems in buildings can act as a partial risk mitigation approach but not a solution by itself. Always practice proper sanitation and hygiene methods prescribed by Health Canada. Air purifiers can remove allergens, dust mites, mold and pollen floating in the air in your home.

ASG Air FiltersAt Ashton Service Group, we carry a full line of UV sterilization and air purification systems designed to retrofit into existing or new furnace systems

ASG Fresh breath

  • Relieves allergy symptoms
  • Reduces asthma attacks
  • Protects your equipment and stops overpayments to the utility company
  • Excellent whole house particle and germ control
  • Asthma and allergy relief
  • Pristine Air Polarized-Media Air Cleaner a Pristine Air UVC Germicidal Unit Collects 97% of particles from 200  to .3 microns.

Air Filter

  • Polarized Media Air Cleaner
  • Collects 97.0% of particles from 200 to .3 microns
  • Excellent whole house particle control
  • Electroplates particles to media pad from 200 – 0.3 microns in size
  • Can relieve allergy symptoms
  • Can reduce asthma attacks
  • Keeps your heating and cooling system clean and running at peak efficiency

The Pristine Air whole house polarized-media electronic air cleaner installs directly into the 1” filter rack(s) in the existing heating and cooling system. Its enhanced polarized media combines elements of both electronic and media air cleaners. Particles are charged (polarized) to attract the smallest of particles to an easily replaced media pad. Polarized sub-micron particles join with other particles and are collected on subsequent passes.
